This started out purely as an experiment to create a driving AI without using any map data. The AI cars just look at the walls, which are tagged either "inside" or "outside", and the cars meander through the track based on that information. 

I found myself having just as much fun tweaking the settings of the AI trying to get the fastest lap time as I did driving and trying to beat them, so in the latest iteration of this project, there are two game modes where you do just that.

The default settings work pretty well, but you can get some pretty crazy results, like sending the cars whirling in circles or causing them to go careening through walls.

If you play one of the manual modes, it's WASD to drive, and E to fire missiles. The BGM can be downloaded here.
